Steiff 135 YEARS JUBILEE Teddy Bear (034046) - 32 cm Mohair Boxed Ltd Edition. Steiff was 135 years old in 2015! This 135 Year Jubilee Bear commemorates many years of bear and toy-making by taking us back to the very beginning - he holds a felt elephant with a colourful saddle - like those that Margarete Steiff made as pin cushions, then as children's toys, to start her toy business. 135 Year Jubilee Bear has a coat of the finest golden blond mohair, and has'135 Years' embroidered on his paw pad in golden thread. He has beautiful brown pupil eyes and a hand-stitched brown nose. His golden satin bow matches both his embroidery and his gold-plated Steiff button. A limited edition of 1880 in memory of the year it all began. Released as a limited edition of 1,880 pieces, this being number 1258. This bear has been living in a smoke free home with adult collectors, he has only been displayed and has not been handled much to help preserve him. He comes complete with his original box and certificates as shown in the photo. The box has some slight wear and tear from being stored.
