Steiff 404153 RARE Baerle 43cm 1904 Ltd Edition bear with box & certificate

Welcome to the sale of my beautiful retired Steiff limited edition bear. Baerie is based on a bear from 1904 and is a limited number of 7000 pieces made. We brought Baerie from a specialist bear shop in St Ives Cornwall in the early 2000's. Unfortunately we've never had room to have him on display and he's been kept in his box plus the transporting box ever since. Bar 55PB is 55cm tall and fully jointed. He has been sewn from a decadently dense, rust brown mohair, with matching hued, wool felt paws. Like his predecessor, he has been stuffed with excelsior and bears, expressive and glossy, black boot button eyes, with a moulded, sealing wax nose. A glorious reminded of the Teddy Bears heritage!
